Crown Top Conservatories

| Above are two superb illustrations of Crown Top conservatories |
If you look closely at the top of these conservatories you will just see a flat section which is approximately 850 mm X 1700 mm and has a finial and cresting around it hence "Crown Top". It is this special design of roof which allows a standard 3 facet design to be much larger but keeping the structural stability of the building.
These conservatories both sit on a 600 mm high base in sympathy with the house, if you wish you can have a base wall to any height or have full glazed panels to the floor level if you prefer with any style of window.
The windows have top opening fan lights which give
good ventilation and additional security. Conservatories of this
design can have either glass or polycarbonate roofs. To read more on glass or polycarbonate roofs visit our page on roofs for conservatories
Additional
ventilation is obtained by roof ventilators. The roof is the first
area of conservatories to get hot, hot area rises, so by fitting
roof ventilators you remove this hot air.
The interiors show plastered coloured washed and
rustic brickwork walls. Power points have been set into the base
wall for electric heaters suitable for conservatories. Lighting
has been achieved by table lamps.
To ensure both conservatories stay cool on hot sunny
days specialist conservatory blinds for have been fitted to help
avert solar gain. To read more on blinds for conservatories follow
this link to blinds for conservatories.
Both conservatories have good quality cane and leather
furniture and allow the conservatories to be used as occasional
rooms just for reading the papers on warm sunny mornings and watching
the ever changing seasons or as family rooms for entertaining friends
and family.
